This weekend was a blast! We hosted our first major concert series @ Bills Bar on the world famous Landsdowne St. in Boston. Quinn, Julie and I interviewed artists and hosted it up as the stars-to-be came out to play. Having worked in the Rock & Roll industry since college, I have found that most bands sound better on CD than they do live. But I was SO impressed at what a solid stage presence all of our Verge artists brought to the table. I was partiularly impressed by Leroy Justice who brought out the all american Black Crows style rock and roll just as the Red Sox game got out … and gave all the fans (drunk off of PBR and their victory over the Yankees) … a music sandwich with a side of soul. Sum Majere and Belief also kept it real and were among the first artists to show up - not only that but they stayed throughout the entire 8 hour event and supported all the other artists as well. These guys are not only killer musicians, but incredible people as well.
Well we have a video coming out soon, so I won’t give too much away but let’s just say I can’t wait to get Verge-in again next year
