As we approach OurStage’s first birthday, it’s hard for me to describe how significantly things have changed and grown. I think last year we had fewer than twenty channels of songs and videos with (at best) dozens of items in each channel. Like any startup, it was difficult to know if anyone was going to show up.

As of my count this morning, we have 50 channels, more than 30,000 songs and videos, and more than a million(!) people stopping by OurStage every month. I am speechless.

Tonight, Semi-Finals end for March and the number ones will lock in on each channel. That means that tomorrow, the number one songs will compete against each other on the music finals channel for Five Thousand Dollars! So tomorrow should be pretty exciting.

BUT…don’t miss out on some of the exciting things being decided today. For instance, in my home state of Michigan, more than 250 bands are competing for $1,001 dollars on the RIFF 2 channel. For those of you who don’t know, RIFF 2 is the HD radio sister station to WRIF 101 in Detroit. They’ve sponsored their own channel on OurStage and there’s been a lot of activity. Today is the last day for those top ten songs to battle it out in RIFF 2 and tonight at midnight, the top song will take home $1,001! Take a listen to those top tens…
