Pre-Bonnaroo: Meet the Winning BANDS!!

With over 5,000 songs entered, the ‘Battle for the Roo’ Bonnaroo channel was one of the most successful and highly anticipated competitions OurStage has seen thus far!!! As you read on about the bands who won, check out the play list above and discover the sounds of these incredibly talented musicians! If you are going to be there this year then definitely stop by the OurStage booth by the sonic tent and come say hi! Other OurStage artists like The Whiting Brothers will be popping in and it’s rumored they may be giving out some free CD’s - who knows, maybe they’ll treat us to an acoustic set

Here are the artists who rose to the top of the charts and earned themselves a performance slot at Bonnaroo 2008!

Band: The Press Project
Performance Time: Friday the 13th (oooh) @ 4:30pm
Location: The Sonic Stage
What to expect: The Press Project puts on an incredible live show. They come correct with high energy, slick lyrics and a tight band. If you’ve ever been to a Roots or J5 show then you’ll know what you’re in for with the Press Project - a phenomenal set that will get your booty shakin.

Band: Sons of Roswell
Performance Time: Saturday the 14th @ 1:30pm
Location: The Sonic Stage
What to expect: If these guys are anywhere near as good live as they are on their recorded tracks then you’re in store for a show akin to Modest Mouse & the Kings of Leon. It’s just that solid rock sound with a raw indie flair.

Band: Morningbell
Performance Time: Sunday the 15th @ 12:00 noon
Location: The Sonic Stage
What to expect: The spacey, psychedelic sound of Morningbell has hints of Pink Floyd and Ben Kweller … trust me, it sounds cool. And if that weren’t enough to peak your curiosity, these guys are known for their trademark $100 light show!

Band: Don Dilego
Performance Time: Sunday the 15th @ 4:30pm
Location: The Sonic Stage
What to expect: Classic Americana with a lovably quirky persona. Something about his music makes me wanna drive along the California coastline in a convertible. If Don is anything live like he is on his OurStage profile then not only are you in for a special treat musically, but you’ll be in for a laugh as well.
