Susan Tedeschi is a bluesy little mama who grew up, like me, on the South Shore of Massachusetts. When I found out she was playing a private set right on the Sonic Stage, where all the OurStage artists performed, I was ecstatic. With a voice that could both raise an army and sooth a child, Susan Tedeschi captured the hearts of everyone in that audience. The sun was scorching their backs and the sweat rolled down their faces but not a person wanted to give up their chance to stand in front of this woman who is sure to be a musical legend.

I waited anxiously backstage hoping she might sign a CD for me for father’s day. And even though she was flooded by fans the moment she stepped of stage, she was incredibly gracious and happily accepted the CD. She even chatted it up with me a little about our hometown. She handed me the CD and I was even more touched to find that she took an extra moment to write ‘Happy Fathers Day’ on the inside cover of the CD for me.

Susan Tedeschi is, quite simply … the woman.
