Leah Randazzo Finds Management via OurStage Sampler CD

Leah Randazzo’s sultry voice and charismatic style have made her a favorite on the blues and jazz channels, frequently placing among the top 10. Her song ‘All I Need In You‘ was included in the first OurStage CD sampler and landed in front of the eyes (and ears) of Jill Katona of Paperwork Media.

From Leah’s OurStage blog:

it’s pretty awesome. we were put on an ourstage.com sampler CD that was sent out to industry folks throughout the country, and then were lucky enough to be picked up and chosen to be repped by paperwork media!!! anyway i gotta say, my heart fills with joy when i think about this website and all it has done to enhance my career and those of my fellow indie musicians! i’m about to head down south for a 10-day run on the coast (with no AC in our fabulous van) and i am pumped!!…

Rising OurStage star Erick Baker scored an opening gig for Natasha Bedingfield the other night at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, TN.

“Opening for Natasha Bedingfield went flawless. 1000 people, standing ovation from mostly teenagers and adults that normally would have never been exposed to my music.” - Erick Baker

Erick got this gig on his own and we, at OurStage, want to offer him the highest of high fives for all his hard work and determination. Check out more of Erick’s music on the playlist below or visit his profile page.

Rock The Bells - Second Stage Shines

OURSTAGE

While the Gangstas were out in full force at Rock The Bells this weekend - there wasn’t any G that was going to come between Alyssa, OurStage Intern Rachel and their hip hop fix!

MAINSTAGE

While the main stage sported killer acts like Mos Def (above), Tribe, Redman & Nas - the slow-to-show crowds combined with some pretty intense heat and sun made the tree shaded second stage a welcomed haven for party hungry fans who needed to cool off.

SECOND STAGE: THE COOL KIDS

Known for kicking it like, ‘The Black Beastie Boys’ - the Cool Kids didn’t waste any time getting funny with their fans - asking them to do the ‘go dummy dance’ where you just jump around and sort of go-limp-jiggle a bit.

Their flow was impressive & tight without being overworked - one of the best acts of the day.

SECOND STAGE: SPANK ROCK

And he said unto them … “Let there be Spank Rock.” This dude was undeniably charismatic, smart and worked his swagger with a degree of confidence akin to Lupe Fiasco’s killer set at Bonnaroo.

It ain’t a party until the crowd is invited to the stage …

It’s a true star that doesn’t need to be the center of attention ALL the time - SR continued to kick rhymes while lying down behind the turn tables as the party rocked on stage!

FAVORITE PARTS OF THE SHOW

1. He used the entire stage - sitting on, standing on, jumping on and off everything and even rode the shoulders of an adoring fan at the climax of his final song.

2. When OurStage intern Rachel jumped up on stage and had a dance solo with Spank Rock

3. When he came over to the speaker 12″ from my face, got down on his hands and knees and ever so delicately humped the lucky piece of machinery while spitting some of the filthiest lyrics I’d heard in a while … yes, I blushed.

4. His shoes - they brought me back to the old ’shit kickers’ they used to wear in Spain back in the late 90’s … anyone remember those?
