As I’ve mentioned, (it’s my opinion that) some of the best experiences at a festival can happen outside the music. I do love festivals at night. The grounds magically transform into a vibrant, mythical scene. Effervescent colors and glowing lights illuminate the night as costumed performers twirl and flutter about. It is theatrical, Shakespearean, dream-like.
If you’re able to discern from the pictures below, a seemingly spontaneous fire-dancing tribe erupted during Phil’s intermission. Tried though I did, I was unable to capture the fire-breathing woman in a snapshot.
P.S. I know what you’re thinking after these last 2 posts and no, I’m not on drugs. It’s just that beautiful here tonight.
