Congratulations to Mike Moran and Lazertag for taking home the OurStage grand prize awards for September.
I enjoyed talking to Brad Ungar who directed the winning video for Lazertag’s “Silver State.” He told me the video was shot on the road from California to Austin, Texas for the South By Southwest music festival. Technically, Lazertag hadn’t booked a show there, but they rigged their car so they could play shows in parking lots around Austin. Turns out, it’s not that simple. Even bands playing parking lots need permits in Austin during SXSW. He says most shows were shut down after the first or second song.
Still, he got lots of great footage of the band on the road, including footage from some of those brief outdoor performances. The product? An award winning video as voted by the fans on OurStage. Congrats Brad.

Yeah, for Mike Moran!! I have been a huge fan ever since I picked up a free demo cd 5 years ago at our local library! His shows are always wonderful. I am so happy for him to have this recognition. Keep up the GREAT Work!!
I love all of Mike Moran’s music!!! His new album “Spaces” is sweeeeet!!! His songs are straight from the heart and with each new listen I find a new personal meaning in them.
Way to go Mike!! I like your recordings (I’ve bought them all) but I especially like your live shows. The first time I say you at the Holiday Inn in Traverse City, I became a “Live” fan. Some of your songs get stuck in my head all day, and that’s not a bad thing. Let me know when you’ve got another CD out, I’ll be there….

MY MY, I must say oohh yess very very Delicious! The song Delicious is indeed quite Deeliciousss! I have to admit how obvious it is with being chosen! Im certain with his video, that many are able to relate! Im still sticking with his song Delicious! His style does have the down home feel like all the great artist! The same feel the others had and gave to theyr audience while they were first starting out playing in small local bars and gigs!He’s making his way, the same feel and talent he has been shareing through out his ventures with leaving his mark of imprint on this planet!I commend Mike for his talent and magic he’s giving to all! Congrats go to Mike Moran, I can’t believe he hasn’t been picked up by a major label yet?? I put his first cd in my player and it didn’t come out for a month.
