RECORD LIKE A PRO FROM HOME

Software
If you ask any industry professional, they’ll most likely tell you that Pro Tools is the way to go, however many other programs are making headway and can easily get the job done. For my own projects I generally choose Logic Pro. This software provides an all around great interface for many things, big and small, that you may need to do while recording. Many recording interfaces come with “lite” versions of recording software such as Cubase or even Logic.
There is also a free alternative to these usually expensive pieces of software: Audacity. Now, this may not be the best solution if you have other options available. I mainly use this software for quick edits to files, but it can be used as a recording solution as well.
