Cedarwell is a band. It says so in their MySpace headline. Cedarwell isn’t just any kind of band, however. It is a “floating band” centered around frontman Erik Neave. (It says so on their OurStage page!) Neave is the primary songwriter for this floating band that grows and shrinks in numbers as the days go by. As the Sheboygan, Wisconsin native phrases it, Cedarwell’s music is “sometimes solo, sometimes with one or two friends or a choir of enemies, sometimes soft and sweet, sometimes loud and harsh.” Whatever the band may be like from day to day, Neave is the constant factor that lets Cedarwell continue being Cedarwell. And however they may sound, the music is always brilliant and inviting. Often acoustic, frequently with a folk twist, and always involving different combinations of stringed instruments.

Cedarwell has played shows all the way from Washington to Germany and many places in between. Right now they are touring locally while in the midst of recording a brand new CD.
