There is no shortcut. As a booking agent, manager and concert producer I always advise the bands to play and play anywhere and everywhere in an outward geographical circle. Build that fan base and keep them posted via an online format like Myspace. Also mYspace is a good place to do Gog sharing with like minded bands in other cities.
