Your Country's Right Here: Miranda Lambert Talks Pistol Annies, Weddings and Blake

posted in: CountryMusic News

Miranda Lambert says her upcoming album Four the Record, will give fans a more complete picture of who she is now.

Gone is the self-described “crazy, wild-eyed kid,” who wrote the hit “Kerosene” when she was a teenager. Sure, part of Lambert is still country-star-rowdy and she loves to strut that ‘tude during her concerts. But now that she’s twenty-five, married to fellow country crooner Blake Shelton”who has had plenty of recent success with the television show The Voice and his  No. 1 album Red River Blues” and as settled as a performing musician can be, she wants to show her fans that side of her on the November 1st release.

Can’t wait that long for new Lambert tunes? Next week, fans can get a taste of some of her new sound. That’s when Pistol Annies”a three woman group that consists of Lambert, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley ”will release their debut album Hell on Heels.

Lambert recently took time out to talk with OurStage  about her next music, her new husband and just how she planned such a fabulous May wedding while she and Blake both juggled wildly busy careers.

OS: What music should we expect from you in the near future?

ML: Pistol Annies’ track, Hell on Heels, [was] just released on iTunes, and we got to perform it on [the television show] Good Morning America as well.  The project will be out on August 23 with a stack of great new tunes.   My album Four the Record will come out on November 1….We are putting everything together as we speak, so as soon as there are more details I promise to reveal them!

OS: You and Blake are, obviously, a red-hot celebrity force these days. Are you concerned that the curiosity that your personal lives may overshadow your music?

ML: Blake and I are music-lovers and artists first. I believe that no matter what, as long as we stay true to making authentic music, fans will continue to support our efforts.

OS: Brides to be all over the world want to know how you planned and executed such a lovely and joyous wedding while you and Blake were both in the middle of touring. If you were giving brides-to-be ideas on what to do to ensure a perfect wedding, what would you say?

ML: Hire a wedding planner! I would have never got it done without her!  I’d also tell couples to make sure their wedding stays true to who they are.  Mine was a perfect reflection of our personalities, and I think that’s part of what made it so wonderful.

OS: So everyone wants to know if you have any plans to start a family in the near future?

ML: Blake and I stay pretty busy taking care of all our rescue animals.  We have a lot on our farm, and I have two dogs with me out on the road.  They are enough like kids for the time being!
