WINNER: Jane's Addiction Hand Select Boys For Opening Slot

One band. Three gigs. An opening slot for one of the world’s biggest rock bands. This summer, thousands of the nation’s best rock ‘n’ rollers came locked and loaded with guitars wailing and amps up to eleven”ready to take on the world in Guitar Center’s “On Stage: Jane’s Addiction” Competition. Their fans poured out in support, helping to rank the best artists for a chance to win big.

The rest was left to the rock stars”Dave Navarro, Perry Farrell and Stephen Perkins weighed in on their favorite tracks, but one in particular caught their eye. The captivating vocals and thumping synth-rock vibes of Boys‘ “Gossip” proved hard to beat with fans and rock gods alike, landing the Colorado quartet the Grand Prize. Boys now have the honor of opening for rock royalty plus $20,000 in new gear from Gibson and Epiphone, a $10,000 Guitar Center shopping spree and a mentoring session with Prospect Park, the management team behind Jane’s Addiction.
