The Good

Made in America Festival lineup announced

Jay-Z announced the lineup for his Made In America Festival this week, and it’s looking pretty ace. Passion Pit, Pearl Jam, Jill Scott, Run D.M.C. Drake, and Hova himself are slated to perform in Philly September 1-2. Looks like Jay-Z forgot that Drake wasn’t made in America, but we’ll let that one slide.

Justin Bieber takes a beating in As Long As You Love Me video

The Biebs gets his much sought-after derriere handed to him by Michael Madsen in his new video for As Long As You Love Me. Anthony Mandler shot the cinematic video, which tells the story of young forbidden love. No doubt Madsen won’t be a favorite with Beliebers after this one. And if it comes down to a fight, our money’s on the fans. They’re terrifying.

The Bad

Introducing Snoop Lion

Next time Snoop asks What’s my mother—-ing name? you better drop the dogg and add a lion. The rapper has adopted the king of the jungle as his new moniker after traveling to Jamaica to record an album with Diplo. The new documentary Reincarnated follows the Snoop’s spiritual journey from rap to reggae and his conversion to Rastafarianism. Going by the trailer, it seems to involve a lot of the chronic. Check it out below.

The Who honor tickets from 1979 show

The Who are finally honoring tickets from a concert they were scheduled to perform in Providence, Rhode Island in 1979. And it should come as a shock to no one that only nine fans still have their original tickets. Hopefully over the past 33 years the band has had time to really nail their live show.

The Ugly

Fans fight with knives at Tenacious D show

They may have been playing “the best song in the world,” but that didn’t stop their fans from slicing at each other during Tenacious D’s concert in Las Vegas this week. Two concertgoers got into an altercation that resulted in one man being injured, both being arrested, and the concert being cut short. Way to stay above the mucky-muck, dudes.

Courtney Love references a part of her body we don’t want to think about

Lana Del Rey covered Nirvana’s Heart Shaped Box during a concert in Sydney, which of course prompted some ridiculous Courtney Love commentary. The Hole singer told Del Rey to think of my vagina the next time she covered the song. We strongly caution anyone against doing that, ever. Del Rey’s performance is below.
