Matchbox 20 announce Co-Headlining Tour With Goo Goo Dolls

posted in: Music News

This may very well be the biggest tour announcement we make all month, and I’m sure it will make #FreeTicketFriday crazier than it has been in recent weeks. For the first time ever, Matchbox 20 and Goo Goo Dolls will be embarking on a nationwide co-headlining tour.

You read that above paragraph right and no, it’s not 2002. Matchbox 20 have revealed they will be joined by Goo Goo Dolls as they watch the United States pass outside their busses on a Summer headlining run that is sure to go down in the history books. Both bands will be playing gigantic, hit-filled sets, and we encourage everyone within four hours of any venue to attend. You can view the full routing at the end of this post.

Bands rarely tour for the sake of touring, especially once they reach the level of popularity these bands have, and this tour will be no different. Goo Goo Dolls will be promoting their upcoming tenth album, Magnetic, which will drop on May, while Matchbox will be hoping the Summer fun helps push sales of their September 4, 2012 release, North.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, March 23.
