Nemes Launch Kickstarter To Fund New Recordings

posted in: Music News

OS Members Nemes have launched a Kickstarter campaign in hopes of raising funds to cover the cost of recording both an EP and LP in the coming months.

At this point it seems a bit silly to recap the purpose of crowdfunding through sites like Kickstarter, but essentially Nemes are asking fans to send them donations with the promise of receiving new music (as well as other donation prizes) in return. Nemes are seeking $7,000 to fund the recording of an LP and EP, one electric and the other acoustic, in hopes of showcasing as many sides of their group as possible. A message posted on the fundraising page by Nemes reads:

Nemes is releasing two new bodies of work:

The new EP:

Our brand new EP, “Five Minutes EP” is available NOW with any Kickstarter incentive over $20. It is an acoustic EP recorded live in a studio with Grammy winning producer Ducky Carlisle. This EP is exclusively available to Kickstarter backers.

The new album:

On March 20th we will be entering Westfall Studios on Long Island for three weeks to record our second full length album. This will be no-holds-barred, professionally mixed/mastered, not-in-Kansas-anymore full force album, a first for Nemes.

The breakdown:

Just so you know exactly where your money’s going, here’s a breakdown of our funds.

$5,000 – Recording and mixing the album at Westfall Studios.

$1,000 – Mastering with Peerless Mastering.

$2,500 – Printing and replication for 2,000 physical copies of the album.

$7,000 – a PR campaign that will promote our music and successfully get it in the hands of people who have never heard Nemes before.

You may notice that the total is a lot more than we are asking for in the Kickstarter. Unfortunately, if we don’t hit our Kickstarter goal we won’t get any of your donations, so we figured we’d shoot low in the hopes of hitting our goal. The hard work and dedication we’ve put in over the last two years will be a huge financial contributor, but we can’t state enough that we will not be able to do this alone.

We are so incredibly thankful for the people who care about this band and its music, and we promise to make each and every one of our fans proud.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, a thousand times thank you.
