Snoop Lion Gets Political In "No Guns Allowed" Video

Snoop Lion, whom some of you better know as Snoop Dogg, has released the video for his anti-gun single, “No Guns Allowed.”

Featuring YMCMB artist Drake, as well as his daughter Cori B, the latest offering from Snoop Lion is heavy on the Jamaica influence and even heavier with its lyrical content. Many people associate Snoop with his love of weed and history of gang violence, but ever since his name change the legendary MC has been looking at life from a new perspective. The young man who rose up in the early 90s has grown into a man with a unique view of the world around him. This track is about the rash of gun violence plaguing the world recently, and the video further emphasizes this point with footage from seemingly dozens of gun-related incidents. It’s a tough clip to watch, but the message is one that needs to be heard.

Fun fact: This is not the first time Cori B. has appeared on a track. She may only a be a young teen, but Cori has been making music with and without her father for the last couple years. “No Guns Allowed” is her first major feature, but it’s probably safe to assume it won’t be her last.
