INXS TV Drama Begins Production, More On The Way Soon

Though their career as a band was tragically cut short, INXS have left an impression on the rock world that has lasted more than two decade, and in 2014 it seems fandom is going to hit new heights.

In a new article posted by The Hollywood Reporter, it is confirmed that production has begun in Australia on a new two-part miniseries titled Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS. The program, which is being made for the Seven Network here, is the first dramatic production from SHINE Australia. The film’s story will tell the band’s uncensored journey with full access to their archive of music, photography and stories. No air date has been set.

Bummed you can’t watch Never Tear Us Apart? Don’t worry, two additional INXS and Michael Hutchence-themed features are currently in development. First up, producer Sue Murray and writer-director Richard Lowenstein are working on a biopic titled Michael. Also, Bobby Galinsky is developing a similar feature titled Two Worlds Colliding, based on the book Just A Man “ The Real Michael Hutchence by the singer’s sister, Tina, and his mother Patricia Glassop.
