Play the New England Americana Festival with Boston Americana favorites Three Day Threshold

This week, we’re spotlighting a great new opportunity in the OurStage Marketplace. The organizers of the New England Americana Festival need talent to fill out the festival’s roster and are looking right here on OurStage. The New England Americana Festival celebrates the long tradition of deep-rooted American folk music. This February, the festival will be take place over three nights at Church in Boston. The festival is looking for 4 to 7 more acts to join The Bean Pickers Union, The Rationales, Bryan Pero and the Tired Horses, The Bees Knees, Golden West Motor Lodge, Odessa Rose, Dave Sammarco Band, The Kingsley Flood, Three Day Threshold and OurStage artists The Autumn Hollow Band. Artists don’t have to be located in New England to apply, but those who can draw in Boston will be given preference. The crowd enjoying the show at the MilkBoy Main Stage

This week, we’re putting the spotlight on MilkBoy Main Stage at MilkBoy Coffee in Ardmore, PA. Located 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia, MilkBoy Coffee is a combination all-ages venue/coffee shop hosting original local talent and international touring bands. Boston indie heroes Jim’s Big Ego have graced the MilkBoy Main Stage, as have OurStage faves Viv Peyrat and Bojibian. Artists interested in recording their live show for a fair price can make use of the venue’s full Pro Tools setup and HD video recording capabilities. This week, we’re putting the spotlight on the Amity Teen Center in Woodbridge, Connecticut. This is no ordinary youth hangout. Says Dan Barry of the Hartford Advocate: “It’s the first youth space I’ve ever seen that actually gives teens what they want, and not some adult’s idea of what they want.” Serving teens from Bethany, Orange and Woodbridge Connecticut, the non-profit Amity Teen Center aims to combine two of the world’s most popular forms of entertainment—music and video games. Along with several gaming areas featuring Xbox, Playstation and Wii consoles, there is live music every Friday night as part of the center’s Music!Live series in addition to an extremely popular Battle of the Bands that takes place several times a year. They’ve also recently opened a recording studio on the premises equipped with Sonar 6 Poducer Edition supported by a M-Audio Projectmix board.
