Break out the sunscreen, glow sticks and canteen because you’re about to go on a magical electronic journey to upstate New York for Camp Bisco 8! Yes, it’s that time of year when electrorock pioneers, The Disco Biscuits, headline each night of their annual three day flagship festival. This summer, Camp Bisco is set to take place July 16th-18th, and will feature a diverse lineup including Damien Marley, Nas, STS9, Chromeo, Kid Cudi, Asher Roth, Flying Lotus, Pretty Lights, and fellow Philadelphians Dr. Dog. DJ’s from DFA records, such as members of LCD Soundsystem, will have your feet stomping the grounds of the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, NY long after the sun goes down.

The Disco Biscuits—with some help from OurStage—want to reward their biggest fan with a pair of tickets to Camp Bisco 8 along with an exclusive meet and greet with the band at the festival! No matter what crazy act of fandom you’ve committed in the name of The Disco Biscuits — attending each and every rock opera performance in person, blinding yourself while recreating their famous light show in your living room, walking half way across the country barefoot to attend Bisco Inferno—you now have the chance to let the band know you’re number one. If you think you’ve got what it takes to to win the title, follow these two, easy steps:

1. Register and fill out an OurStage fan profile, if you don’t already have one, by clicking here

2. Once you are registered, leave a comment for The Disco Biscuits on their OurStage page explaining why you’re their biggest fan. When your post is up, you’ll be automatically entered into the contest.

Please note multiple comments do not increase your chances of winning. So play nice and only post one time. The deadline to enter is July 3rd, 11:59 PM EST —all posts made after the deadline are ineligible. The winners will be selected by The Disco Biscuits and announced on July 6th. The winner will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.

Big thanks to EVERYONE who participated in Gavin Degraw’s Biggest Fan contest. With over 300 submissions, fans were not afraid to share personal stories of how Gavin and his music has been a positive and influential force in their lives.

Stories included:
- traveling over 300 miles repeatedly to catch Gavin perform live
- numerous original poems, songs, artwork and videos created in honor of him
- moments where they turn to Gavin’s music for strength and support
- newlyweds’ first dances
- even naming children after him!!

Ingrid Michaelson @ Bumbershoot (J-Mo’s Biggest Fan Experience!)

My good friend and OurStage PR guru Jessica Morris, affectionately dubbed “J-Mo” in the OurStage offices, was so enthusiastic about Ingrid Michaelson’s set at Bumbershoot, I asked if she’d write a quick review of her show. As J-Mo always does, she took the assignment seriously and knocked it out of the park. Here’s her review (with more pictures below):

J-Mo’s Biggest Fan Experience:

“I’m at Bumbershoot for work, but I wasn’t going to let that stop me from seeing my favorite artist on stage. This is my “Biggest Fan” experience brought to you by OurStage…

I Love Ingrid Michaelson… I first discovered her through Grey’s Anatomy and have been a fan ever since. I recently caught her show at the Berklee Performance Center in Boston and she did a great job engaging the audience. So, I was curious to see how she fared at a music festival where her audience isn’t quite so captive and she had to compete with many distractions. Again, she dazzled.

Ingrid’s concerts are like a buy one, get one free sale. You pay for a great concert and you get a bonus comedy show just for the hell of it!

While you ‘re watching her on stage, you come to an almost immediate realization that she is just a girl – just like everybody else in the crowd – she just happens to be the one with a microphone… and gobs of talent.

From her clumsy, yet charming strip tease, to her complaints about her muffin top waist, Ingrid isn’t necessarily helping the audience relate to her (although, we do). She’s actually doing the reverse: she is relating to her audience. She is looking out into a sea of adoring faces and seeing a group of her closest friends, at least for the next 45 minutes, and she isn’t going to hesitate to tell you all of her troubles, hopes and dreams. This time, she is so excited to tell us that Dave Matthews told her she gave him a musical woody… she’s blushing the whole time she’s telling the story.

I am definitely looking forward to her next comedy show!”
