Sleigh Bells have just confirmed a lengthy North American tour this April, surrounding dates at the Red Bull Sound Select, Coachella, Governors Ball, NXNE in Toronto, and Firefly Music Festival. Sadly, the tour isn’t as extensive as one might hope, and won’t touch the East Coast aside from their appearances at the Governors Ball in New York and Big Guava Music Festival in Florida. You can check out the full list of dates below. (more…)
First, Foster The People break their three-year silence with a catchy new tune and the promise of a new album. Then, they tease us with the news that they’ll be making the festival rounds this spring. Of course, fans have been hoping for additional tour dates surrounding the festivals (how could we not?) and now we have them.
Hitting Las Vegas, Nashville, Boston, Tampa, Toronto, and all the other major stops in between, Foster The People will embark on a three-month tour in support of their March 18 release, Supermodel. Check out the dates below.
Arcade Fire has had a pretty incredible 2014, and it’s only January. I mean, they were nominated for a BRIT Award, are headlining Coachella, and just generally seem to be on top of the world. I still hear “Reflektor” played constantly on indie radio. Plus, they’re currently touring Australia surrounding their time at Big Day Out Festival, so that’s pretty cool.
Speaking of, last night while at Sidney Myer Music Bowl, the band covered INXS‘ “Devil Inside.” You can watch a fan recorded performance, and if you’re in the mood for an Arcade Fire/INXS mashup, you can listen to a new one by the Hood Internet below. (more…)
To be honest, I was a little excited when I heard that Foster The People were coming out with a new album. After a few years of radio silence (literally), I can’t help but feel anxious to hear what they have up their sleeves. As if reading my mind, the band has confirmed a few festival dates this year, including Coachella, CounterPoint Music Festival, Big Guava Music Festival, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and the Governors Ball in New York. Check out the dates below, and keep an eye out for their latest release, Supermodel on March 18. (more…)
Cult favorites Neutral Milk Hotel broke a few hearts back in December when they expanded their tour and excluded the west coast. But when the group was announced for California’s Coachella festival several days ago, rumors began to fly and, for once, those rumors were true. The band will play a string of surrounding west coast dates this April before heading overseas. Which means you can finally cash in on that awesome ticket we suggested you buy for Christmas. You can check out the full routing below. (more…)
Last night Sleigh Bells took to the stage of the Late Show With David Letterman to perform their animated little number “Young Legends,” off their most recent release, Bitter Rivals. The band was just announced as part of the massive Coachella lineup alongside OutKast, Queens Of The Stone Age, Lorde, and Forster The People. Check out the performance below. (more…)
OutKast fans, the news just keeps getting better and better. Not only will the duo reunite at Coachella 2014, but it looks like the group will also headline New York’s Governors Ball from June 6-7 on Randall’s Island. The festival will be teasing the remainder of the lineup on social media, before unveiling the rest of the 80+ bands playing next week. Check out a few current teasers below. (more…)

“OutKast May Reunite At Coachella 2014” we said. ‘Yes, we probably are,’ they said, by way of this awesome photo of Big Boi and André 3000 taken this past weekend in their hometown of Atlanta.
“Just leaving the old Stewart Ave…” Big Boi posted on his Instagram, adding: “#unfuckwittable.” Truly.
After announcing an indefinite hiatus nearly seven years ago, it looks like Big Boi and Andre 3000, AKA Outkast, may finally be reuniting. Although the duo have successfully dodged reunion questions for the better part of their hiatus, Billboard is reporting that the two will end their hiatus at next year’s Coachella”as a headlining act no less. Speaking about the news, Billboard says:
“One source tells Billboard that there have definitely been ‘some conversations’ about Outkast reuniting, while another says it is ‘all systems go’ for Big Boi and Andre 3000 to end their hiatus next year. A rep for Outkast did not comment for this story, while reps for their current label home, Epic, as well as Coachella organizer Goldenvoice, did not respond to request for comment at press time.”
Now, we don’t want to get your hopes up, but let’s not forget that Coachella is a festival that is notorious for hosting reunions, such as the celebrated returns of My Bloody Valentine, The Pixies, and the Stooges. Tell us what you think”is this reunion too good to be true?
