Bumbershoot Extras: Paramore

My last day at Bumbershoot was a complete whirlwind. Kate Tucker, Blitzen Trapper, and Dan Deacon were all incredible. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I didn’t make it out to some of the biggest shows of the day, including The Offspring, Paramore, and Death Cab for Cutie. Fortunately, my friend Tiffany Sherman came through with great pictures of each of them. Here are some of her best of Paramore:

Get Ready to Bumbershoot!

If you live in Seattle, you’re probably getting excited about the Bumbershoot Festival, which takes place over the coming Labor Day weekend and features artists like Death Cab for Cutie, Beck, and the recently reunited Stone Temple Pilots. We’re particularly excited here at OurStage, because three of our artists have won performance slots at this year’s festival: Beehive, Ashleigh Flynn, and Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden.

If you don’t live in Seattle and you’d like to experience Bumbershoot from home, here’s a playlist featuring songs by the three OurStage artists:

Also, make sure to check out our video interviews with bands at last year’s Bumbershoot Festival, including Saturna, Alabaster, and Merrill.

Q: What’s the most exciting part about being a musician now-a-days?
A: The indie music scene is in an interesting place in history right now. It seems with the availability of music on the internet and all the music stations and blogs out there as an artist you can get your music to a huge amount of people and as a listener you can hears some amazing music you would have never heard a few years ago. Its an exciting time to see where it all goes.

Q: What else do you guys do in your spare time?
A: Josh is a pizza delivery driver, Dave fixes furniture during the day and delivers pizza at night, I work a day job at a finance company and cook in a restaurant at night, and Adam is the coolest he works for Nike 6.0
