Does Paramore ever rest? If their recent performances and nearly sold out dates with Fall Out Boy this summer tell us anything, it’s that these Tennessee natives are most at home on the road. So it came as no surprise that while football fans around the country were celebrating (or mourning) their team’s outcome yesterday, Paramore was busy rocking out on the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl for a lengthy one hour set. Check out their performance below.
It’s well-documented online that Fall Out Boy and Paramore fans are beside themselves at the thought of the two touring together this summer. But for anyone not totally convinced of the ideal pairing of these two, you can now check out a performance of Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar We’re Going Down” featuring Paramore’s Hayley Williams. The performance took place at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on Jan. 28, and it felt effortless as Williams took over the chorus halfway through. Check it out below. (more…)
We know, the title kind of implies this was a collaboration of sorts. But there are some collaborations that are just a little too odd to imagine, and Fall Out Boy with Ed Sheeran are among them. Though by the looks of it, something may be in the works. But for now, the two artists are simply showing their mutual love of Elton John in two separate covers, which will appear on a deluxe reissue of Elton John’s Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Also appearing on the cover album will be Hunter Hayes, the Zac Brown Band, and many more. Check out the covers track list below.
Fall Out Boy recently performed at the 2014 NFL Pro Bowl halftime show in Honolulu, Hawaii, playing their latest hit, My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up),” from their LP Save Rock and Roll, as well as their breakthrough track, “Sugar, We’re Going Down.” Although official footage has not yet been released, you can check out a fan video below, and catch Fall Out Boy on tour with Paramore this summer.
Paramore‘s Hayley Williams, known for her amazing Technicolor dreamlocks, has announced plans to release her own line of hair dye later this year, via Manic Panic. Discussing the line she says:
“Right now, I am incredibly inspired by the force that is Manic Panic. I love their history, what they mean to so many generations of teenagers and punks, or anyone just looking for a new way to express themselves. My goal for 2014 is to get the hair color line I’ve always dreamed of creating. I came up with the name years ago and finally made the decision to start working on it last summer. There’s so much to do but Tish and Snooky and Manic Panic keep me believing in the hair-dye dream. “

In December 2012, no one would have believed you if you told them Fall Out Boy would be one of the most discussed groups of the following year. The band was, at the time at least, on hiatus, and it wasn’t until the early days of February 2013 that they announced a reunion. This was followed by the April release of their album, Save Rock And Roll, which the band has spent the remaining majority of the year supporting on the road. Their latest tour just ended, but this morning we learned the men of Fall Out Boy still have a handful of stateside shows left before the year closes out.
