QUINN TURNS 30 – DOMESTIKS DEBUT

OurStage’s own Quinn Strassel celebrated his 30th birthday in true rockstar style at the Lizard Lounge in Cambridge, MA.  Not only did the talented young producer ring in another decade but kicked the night off by debuting his band, Domestiks with his wife Adrienne by his side.

Other band mates included former co-workers, OurStage employees, family and friends.  The set was about 10 songs long and included a blend of pop infused rock and cute little acoustic ditties.  Strassel kicked of the night with “It’s time for Summer to begin”  and kept things rockin with a song written while proctoring an exam “Things are better than they seem” and then a song about someone proctoring an exam “The lonesome death of a proctor.”  The couple seemed to draw a little inspiration from the Moldy Peaches with their cute piece called “Superhero” and at the end brought it home with the much anticipated “Michigan Man.”

The evening was a huge success as friends, family and even members of The Click Five and The Will Daily band came down to show their support.  After the Domestiks stepped down, OurStage.com bands and friends the Prigs, Cassavettes and Frank Ciampi kept the fans rocking until the early morning hours.

And there’s nothing like a little “Happy Birthday Song” and some delicious cake to help soak up the beer and Jack Daniels that tends to flow like water during a night of killer rock n roll!
