I love me some pizzacato strings and “House” by Forget Me Nots has them by the bundle. Opening with an angular melodic line, in which violin, guitar and piano are being played in unison, this theme recapitulates multiple times throughout the piece and serves as a home base for motivic development. Judd Wasserman’s lyrics are few but well chosen, and complement the instrumentation perfectly.
