EMBED THIS VIDEO

Last month, I told you how OurStage band Merrill opened for Maroon 5. A couple days ago, OurStage band Teamwork opened for Matt Nathanson. How did these relatively unknown bands land such cool gigs? The OurStage Marketplace of course!

Click here to find out how you could open for soulful rock band Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. In the meantime, enjoy our interview backstage at the Wilbur Theatre in Boston. We had a lot of fun, particularly Andy (our video director) who was blown away by Grace’s on-camera charisma.

Stay tuned to Grace’s profile for blog posts featuring out-takes from this interview.

With recent success, landing a spot opening Maroon 5 and Counting Crows, pop-rockers, Merrill have been tearing it up. Honoring their recent accomplishment we have a track for download today that proves, “It’s U” (helping great music succeed!) A shockingly sunny sound from oft rainy/cloudy Portland, Ore., Merrill overcame missing equipment and technical difficulties, at the Maroon 5 set, to rock the crowd. Discover, Merrill.

Get Ready to Bumbershoot!

If you live in Seattle, you’re probably getting excited about the Bumbershoot Festival, which takes place over the coming Labor Day weekend and features artists like Death Cab for Cutie, Beck, and the recently reunited Stone Temple Pilots. We’re particularly excited here at OurStage, because three of our artists have won performance slots at this year’s festival: Beehive, Ashleigh Flynn, and Kate Tucker and the Sons of Sweden.

If you don’t live in Seattle and you’d like to experience Bumbershoot from home, here’s a playlist featuring songs by the three OurStage artists:
