SECRET AGENT: OURSTAGE

Do you feel like you could have taken Matt Damon’s place in the Bourne trilogy? What would your version of a spy movie be like? Personally, I’ve already mapped out the plot for my own secret agent movie and, more importantly, what music would go with it. So hit play and check out the epic adventure inside my head.
Read the scene description for each song and get the full story line after the jump!
- 1. “Metamorphosis” by The Marshall Cook Project: The camera pans from a blue sky across a vast urban landscape. Speeding up, the city approaches. Zooming between buildings, the city streets below are full of people scampering to and from work. Upon a closer look, none of the cars on the streets appear to be moving, the result of a massive traffic jam. The audience can sense that something is not quite right. The scene fades to black.
- 2. “Silent Ghosts” by Silent Hill: Fade in … A well dressed man (our main character) wearing sunglasses reclines in a chair on a small wooden balcony. The man awakes to the honk of traffic below, and looks as his watch. He frantically runs into the apartment, picks up a briefcase and coat, and rushes out the door. Cut to: the man sprinting down the street, cutting between cars. He is obviously a man on a mission.
- 3. “Labyrinth” by Zircon: Flashback … A couple sails aboard a small yacht. Zooming in, we notice our main character clad in shorts and a preppy, collared shirt with his arm around an attractive female companion. The couple peers over the bow of the boat while holding champagne glasses and smiling.
- 4. “Memories Fade” by Sonamulate: Through a montage of images, the audience learns our main character is, in fact, a spy who just thwarted a terrorist threat to unleash biological warfare on the city. At one point, his wife was on her deathbed, infected with a deadly virus released during the attack. The couple knows their time together will be brief. End flashback.
- 5. “Insatiable Demo” by Deep Black Void: Presently, the spy meets with a high-ranking government official. He is trying to track down the villains who infected his wife. We see the him prepare for a confrontation by putting on, what else, a black tuxedo.
- 6. “The Wrists” by The Razorblade Dolls: The agent enters a night club and the music is pumping. He walks to the back where a long hall is guarded by 2 men. With a flick of the wrist, both guards are on the ground and the agent swiftly proceeds down the hall to a secret laboratory. Inside the lab, the agent searches for and finds an antidote to the deadly virus. The agent takes a vial back to the yacht and injects his wife just in time.
- 7. “Magic” by Sergey Sirotin & Golden Light Orchestra: Cut to … The couple happy enjoying the open seas. The camera pans back out through the city as the traffic finally begins moving along once congested streets. Fade to black. Credits roll.
My agent doesn’t think I should give so much away; now the major movie houses will steal my brilliant ideas. But, hey, I’m OK with that if I can see so many OurStage artists in one movie soundtrack!
