Press Shuffle: Songs To Write Blogs To

posted in: Reviews & Playlists

Welcome back, ladies and gents, to a new edition of Press Shuffle, your one-stop-shop for all your playlist needs!

This list is all about productivity. Whether writing an essay on Heart of Darkness for your high school English class, drafting your thesis on the conductivity potential of beeswax for the seventeenth time or”as is my case”writing up your latest (and greatest?) blog post, the music playing in the background will either make or break your final product. The mood, the concentration, the rhythm (both musical and creative) are all set by the music you have coming though your speakers. The ability to focus and to use your time as best you can is everything if you want to succeed, but a hit of inspiration is always welcome. My poison? Upbeat, engaging electronic music. House, lounge, maybe a little electropop sprinkled in. So strap yourself into your desk chair, press shuffle and prepare to get those creative juices flowing.

“My Other” – i am jen: Start your session with a healthy dose of energy! This song is beat-y enough to get your blood pumping, but not so much it gets you out of your chair.

“Down On Harding Street”miss emma: Even though this song could easily be featured on a compilation album with a beach and a fruity beverage on the cover, its soulful, trancy vibe is exactly what you need to drown out the world around you.

“Lifetime (ft. Justify)” – M&D Substance: Vibrant songs are exactly what I need to inject some fresh air into my work. Engaging and catchy, the dynamics in this song keep you hooked on and will take your mind on a spacey, upbeat ride.

“Huan”Miss Melody CN: Bjí¶rk, anyone? Spacey production and airy vocals definitely bring her to mind, and that’s not a bad thing at all.

“AHH” – Bermuse: The layers of subtle instrumentation and smooth production make this lounge tune a definite mood-setter.

“I Will Say” Neoclubber: A club-ready tune sprinkled into the playlist might just be the breath of fresh air that you need when you’re deep into your inspirational trance.

“Nice And Slow” – Precise Deviants: Lay it back, nice and slow. You’re in the home stretch of your writing, so this animated track will help you glide smoothly through your last lines.

“Jump!”No Hair On Head: End things on a high note. Positive and energetic. This prolific Spanish artist has been razing the Electronica and Ambient Channels, and rightfully so; his songs are catchy and eclectic.
