Back in July, we treated artists to a free webinar on Music Licensing. Participation was through the roof, and as a result of this rockin’ success, we’ve decided to continue with a series of free Music Licensing webinars. Based on your feedback, we’ll be exploring different elements of the licensing business and inviting a variety of guests (music supervisors and successful musicians alike) to attend.
So, what’s in the pipeline? We’ll give you the five W’s.

Who: We’ve got some great people involved, including our own VP of Community and Artist Relations, a producer from the Newport Folk Festival and OurStage artist Shayna Zaid from Shayna Zaid & The Catch (their song “Morning Sun” is featured in a 2011 Ford Edge commercial, below). These kind folks will be chatting about the power of music placement and how it can impact a musician’s career. We’ll also give a little info on the process of music licensing to help cut through the chaos.
Why: Music licensing is a tricky subject to navigate so we’re here to help artists along throughout their music career. Plus, hosting webinars makes us look all tech-savvy and stuff. And we like looking all tech savvy and stuff.
