GuacaMusic: The Plastics Revolution

If you love Mexican music but aren’t into mariachi or rancheras, then we suggest you try some Mexican indie pop by The Plastics Revolution, a band from Mexico City that has been getting rave reviews from OurStage fans.

Anyone familiar with the Mexican indie music scene knows that when a band plays at venues like Pasaguero and the Bulldog Café, they are off to a good start. Such is the case of The Plastics. They got together in 2008 and started playing at the it places, growing their fan base every time they got on stage.

The Plastics released their first single So They Wait in September of 2008. The song was played in various local radio stations and by 2009, they were already recording a second single titled “Ahora Somos Parte. Soon after that, they were recording their first independent album.

By 2011, The Plastics were already a staple in many radio stations in Mexico City. They have grown an important fan base, and are working on releasing a new album this year.
