Jackson Hunt Tears Up The Stage At Jazzfest Wellington

Jackson Hunt is what you might call a “Jack of all trades”. A piano man at heart, he combines pop and singer-songwriter sensibilities with elements of jazz effortlessly. Hunt recently won the “Saddle Up For Jazzfest” Competition Grand Prize on OurStage, earning a performance on stage at Jazzfest Wellington 2012 alongside acts the likes of Mindi Abair and David Pack. He performed to a crowd of hundreds at the festival, armed only with a piano, and later recalled “That was one of the best music experiences to date of my career. Playing on that stage with that caliber of players was sobering.
