Kid Cudi Signs On To Rom–Com "Two Night Stand"

When Kid Cudi began his foray into acting with the now“discontinued HBO series “How To Make It In America,” it was hard to figure out whether he was serious about going the thespian route, or just having a good time and earning a few extra bucks on the side. But now, with Cudi signing on to two movies in only several months, it’s clear that his acting career isn’t just a lark. In July, it was announced that Cudi would star alongside Michael Showalter in Tacoma, an indie thriller about a real estate agent who wants to become a dancer; just recently Goodbye World, an apocalyptic indie comedy starring Cudi as a computer hacker, finished up filming, and now, Cudi will be featured in yet another indie, Two Night Stand. In the Max Nichols“directed romantic comedy, Cudi will reportedly play the boyfriend of Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl), whose roommate gets snowed in with her one night stand. In contrast to many high“profile artists who make the transition to acting, Cudi has thus far solely taken on roles in indie productions. Tacoma was even funded via Kickstarter. It’s good to know that not every emcee feels the need to go out and make their own XXX: State of the Union.
