Bruno Mars Premieres New Single, Will Host SNL

If there’s anyone who has nailed down the perfect recipe for pop success, it’s Bruno Mars. Churning out hit after hit from his 2010 debut Doo-Wops & Hooligans, Mars is back to reclaim the #1 spot in Top 40 radio and make the ladies swoon. His sophomore effort Unorthodox Jukebox will drop in December, and the brand new lead single “Locked Out Of Heaven” gives us a taste of what to expect.

Famous for his doo-wop sound and 50’s style, Mars seems to be channeling a new set of influences this time around – in fact, “Heaven” could very well be a cover of The Police. There are still trademark Bruno-isms on the track, though, namely his tongue-in-cheek lyrics and a catchy, sing-along chorus.

In anticipation of Jukebox, Mars will also be hosting and performing on the October 20th episode of Saturday Night Live. We’re looking forward to seeing and hearing more from him in the next few months.
