Justin Timberlake Shatters US Sales Records With 'The 20/20 Experience'

posted in: Music News

When Justin Timberlake announced his return to pop music, no one doubted that his album release would be successful. It would take a fool or someone completely unaware of Timberlake’s history in pop to think the heartthrob’s new material would sell anything below a few hundred thousand copies its first week out, and sure enough it did even better than we could have imagined.

The numbers for the last week of album sales have finally been calculated and Justin Timberlake again finds himself in the number one position on the charts. The 20/20 Experience sold 968,000 stateside, giving Timberlake his biggest debut ever as well as the highest first week sales by a male artist since Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter IV. It’s not quite a million, but it’s nothing to complain about either.

JT is set to embark on the ˜Legends Of The Summer’ tour with Jay-Z this July. The dates can be found here.
