Psy Breaks Another YouTube Record With "Gentleman"

Psy released his highly anticiapted follow-up to “Gangnam Style” over the weekend, and cry foul as critics might, the numbers seem to say this K-pop star is here to stay.
In the 48 hours that have passed since the video for “Gentleman” was uploaded at 9:00 pm (1200 GMT) on Saturday, more than 50 million people have spent time on YouTube watching the clip. In the first 24 hours, the visuals received around 20 million hits, surpassing the previous record for single-day views of 8 million set by Justin Bieber’s Boyfriend video.
That’s right. According to the internet, Psy is more than 2x more popular than Bieber.
Critics have been split across the board about the actual song, but fans of the colorful clip for “Gangnam Style” seem to have fallen in love all over again with “Gentleman.” You can view the video at the end of this post.
