Hear A Clip Of Jay-Z's new song "100$"

The forthcoming film adaptation of The Great Gatsby is one of the most highly anticipated events of the Summer, and it’s quickly becoming clear its soundtrack may be deserving of praise as well.

Executive produced by Jay-Z, the official soundtrack for The Great Gatsby will feature fourteen new songs from some of music’s brightest and most notable names. A few songs have already found their way online, and this morning a snippet of Jay’s contribution joined the bunch. You can stream a snippet of “100$” below.

Though we don’t get to hear everything Jay has to say, it’s clear from this snippet that he’s building on the first started with “Open Letter.” Jay knew this track would be the one to follow that and it seems he’s brilliantly constructed one gigantic (and cohesive) update on his life and plans for the future.
