Tim Lambesis Pleads Not Guilty In Murder-For-Hire Plot; Bail Set At $3 Million

posted in: Music News

As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis appeared in court yesterday to hear his charges and enter an initial plea.

During his arraignment proceedings, Lambesis was in court behind bullet proof glass. Deputy District Attorney Claudia Grasso read the charges and official complaint for the defendant (Lambesis). According to their statement, Lambesis asked someone he met at the gym if they knew a hitman to take out his estranged wife. He later met someone and set a meeting with them last month, which is where he was apprehended.

After the description of events preceding his arrest were read, Lambesis chose to plead not guilty to all counts. The judge set his bail at $3million and Lambesis was returned to the Vista, California Detention Center. He will appear in court again in the coming weeks.

An NBC affiliate out of San Diego ran a news story on Lambesis court appearance last night, and you can now view that piece below. We’re continuing to monitor this situation and will post updates as more information becomes available.
