The Replacements Announce First Shows In 22 Years

This is hands down the best headline we will run in June 2013. The rest of the music industry might as well pack it in until July.

After two decades without a single live appearance, The Replacements have been announced as one of two mystery acts appearing at Riot Fest in Chicago, Toronto, and Denver later this year. It is unknown who the full lineup of The Replacements will be; it will include lead members Paul Westerberg and Tommy Stinson, but it is unknown who will fill out the other roles. We’ll keep an eye out and let you know when more information becomes available.

In an era of reunions happening within years of a split, it’s nice to know bands with much larger legacies can put aside their difference to please fans. Comment below and let us know if you plan to attend Riot Fest this year.
