Secrets Debut "Sleep Well, Darling"

Just a week out from the release of their Sophomore album, Rise Records’ Secrets have begun streaming a new single entitled, “Sleep Well, Darling.”
Dropping the breakdowns and picking up acoustic guitars, “Sleep Well, Darling” finds Secrets delivering a straightforward love song that is sure to make its way into many romantic playlists in the months ahead. It’s a song for the kind of lovers who meet at Warped Tour, and though it’s a sonic departure for the band it works on many levels. You can stream the song below.
“Sleep Well, Darling” is the first ballad in the history of Secrets, and if they stop now they just might get away with it. You see, hardcore bands throwing in an acoustic track somewhere in the back half of an album is nothing new, but like many somewhat mediocre bands Secrets have accidentally written one of the best songs of their career in their first ballad. This song easily surpasses anything found on their debut, and a good majority of the new album as well, but what does that say about the band’s decision to focus on a hardcore sound? Comment below and let us know your thoughts.
