Spica Cover Anna Kendrick's "Cups"

The 2012 hit film Pitch Perfect has left a bigger mark on pop culture than anyone could have expected, and this morning a song from the film has provided further proof catchy music truly is a universal language.

K-Pop group Spica have released a live cover of Anna Kendrick‘s hit single, “Cups” (otherwise known as Pitch Perfect‘s “When I’m Gone”). The five-piece perform the single along with the accompanying cup percussion work in perfect time. You can view the video at the end of this post.

Spica have yet to make a splash stateside, but it’s clear form this video that they are a talented pop outfit. Rumor has it they are planning a bigger marketing play here in the US in the coming months, so we’ll be sure to keep an eye for for additional updates.
