Hoodie Allen Performs "No Interruption"

On the heels of a new tour announcement, New York emcee Hoodie Allen has released an acoustic performance video.

When most people think about hip-hop, acoustic guitars are rarely part of the equation. Of course, the majority of rap music is built on 808s and samples, but there are a number of artists who have proven that the acoustic is just as welcome as the drum machine. We can now mark Hoodie Allen among them.

In a new video posted on YouTube over the weekend, Allen appears in a well-lit room for a rare acoustic rendition of “No Interruption.” The song flows as well as it does in its original form, and may just pack a bit more of an emotional punch.
