Bonnie McKee Performs "American Girl" on 'Good Morning America'

There are countless  people who work behind the scenes to make your favorite pop stars sound, dance, and look just the way you like them. All too often, those hardworking individuals never get a chance of their own to shine, but now singer/songwriter Bonnie McKee, who has worked with everyone from Katy Perry to Britney Spears, is changing all that with her new single “American Girl.”

Appearing on the set of Good Morning America yesterday, McKeee debuted the song for the NYC crowd and millions watching at home. The song is not a distant departure from the material she’s created for the pop starlets who have now become her competition, but it’s catchy enough to grab you by the collar and demand your attention. Her performance matches the fun feel of the music with costumes and choreography, but the real star of the show is undoubtedly McKee herself.
