Our Last Night Cover Zedd

EDM has become the dominate subgenre in pop music over the last year, and now it’s time for the alternative realm to add their spin to the still-growing dance music mainstream explosion.

Former Epitaph Records artists Our Last Night have released a performance video featuring a cover of Zedd‘s runaway hit, “Clarity.” The updated version strips away the vast majority of the electronica found in the original cut and replaces it with crunchy guitars, thunderous drums, and the undeniably attention-grabbing vocal skills of Trevor Wentworth. It may sway a bit far into the realm of heavy rock, with something akin to a breakdown replacing the originally wispy bridge, but overall, its sonic footing remains close enough to the world of pop for anyone that loves a good hook to appreciate.
