Betty Who Signs To RCA Following Viral Video Success

Rising New York pop talent Betty Who has just become the latest addition to the RCA Records family.
Revealed in an exclusive announced from Billboard on Tuesday, news that Betty Who has signed with RCA Records comes less than six months after the 21-year-old released her debut EP, The Movement. Who has toured steadily since the EP’s release, garnering critical claim across the globe in the process, but it wasn’t until a marriage proposal video went viral last week featuring her single “Somebody Loves You” that the labels came calling. You can view the video at the end of this post.
“When I first came across Betty Who, I was so excited to find an artist with her blend of catchy pop hooks and refreshingly honest lyrics,” says Lindsey Cook, A&R Manager at RCA. “Whether someone is hearing her song for the first time in a viral video or dancing their heart out alongside her at a show, Betty Who spreads an overwhelming feeling of happiness wherever she goes.”
Betty Who started work on her follow-up to The Movement just last month. The forthcoming release was originally planned to be a companion EP, but in light of the deal with RCA, that plan may change. We’ll bring you more information as it becomes available.
