Light Years Stream Tegan And Sara Cover, Announce New EP

Emerging pop-punk group Light Years have partnered with Alternative Press to stream their cover of Tegan And Sara‘s smash hit “Back In Your Head.”

Given an even more bare bones interpretation than the original recording, Light Years’ take on “Back In Your Head” is an entirely acoustic affair. The song is one of three that will appear on the group’s upcoming covers EP, Trying To Be, which will be released digitally through Paper+Plastick on October 22. “Not only is this one of my favorite Tegan and Sara songs but I think it is one of my favorite songs ever,” says vocalist Pat Kennedy. “I remember when I first bought The Con, I would always just keep replaying this song over and over and it still hasn’t gotten old for me.”

The promotional plan for Tying To Be includes releasing a new cover each week until the EP hits stores. “Back In Your Head” is the first, and next week another will follow. The complete track list is as follows:
