Icona Pop Stream 'This Is…'

The Swedish duo who rose to fame with an ode to self-destruction have partnered with Pitchfork to stream their debut album more than a week before it’s scheduled to hit stores.
Icona Pop have released two singles in 2012, both of which scored huge at radio, but the question remains as to whether they can build a career. “I Don’t Care” was a catchy dance track, but its shelf life was relatively short. “All Night” was a step towards more lasting material, but the subject matter was not far enough from its predecessor to secure the group’s place in pop music. This Is… offers nine tracks in addition to these two hits and starting today Pitchfork has the entire album streaming for free.
Before posting this article I spent a bit of time with This Is… and must say that I have only fallen more in love with Icona Pop as a result. If you listen and feel the same, be sure to pick up a copy of This Is… when it hits stores September 24.
