Listen To Eli "Paperboy" Reed's New Single

Retro soul crooner Eli “Paperboy” Reed has moved just a few inches away from the “retro” tag with “Shock To The System,” the first single off his upcoming LPĀ Nights Like This, which drops on April 29th.
The single immediately impresses as less Otis Redding, a primary Reed influence, and slightly more modern by way of Daryl Hall and relatively contemporary production. No surprise then to learn that the song was co-written with Fitz and the Tantrums‘ Michael Fitzpatrick, a Hall devotee.
The main thing is, it grooves. Check it out.
