Carly Rae Jepsen Releases “This Kiss†Music Video

Ever since the debut of Carly Rae Jepsen‘s breakout US hit, Call Me Maybe, fans have been craving a glimpse of her next hit. We got a taste with her appearance in Owl City’s Good Time, but since then it’s been slow goings.
After premiering her latest work, This Kiss in September, Jepsen has finally released the highly anticipated accompanying music video.
While Call Me Maybe and Good Time deliver solid sound of summer vibes throughout their respective videos, This Kiss doesn’t quite hit the same irresistibly catchy hooks that Call Me Maybe did, and perhaps for better, the music video also takes on a completely different vibe.
Although there’s no doubt it holds its own in the way of pop-synth melodies and playful lyrics, the direction of the video is much darker (literally!) with Jepsen inside a club, performing, flirting, and yes, let’s just say it, having a Good Time.
