Smallpools Surprise Fans With Acoustic Rendition of "Dreaming"

Indie pop group Smallpools have had a banner year in 2013. Their breakout single “Dreaming” spread like wildfire in the early months of the year and now it seems the sky is the limit for the California based band. Recently, following a group trip to the movies in their home state, the band surprised consumers in a shopping mall by breaking out an acoustic rendition of their hit song. Fortunately for us, a video of the event has since found its way online.
Introduced excitedly by the members of the band as if they were children afraid security would shut them down, the new video finds members of Smallpools commandeering a self-playing piano in a Glendale shopping mall before diving into a stripped down version of “Dreaming.” People seem shocked at first, but as the pitch-perfect perform carries on the crowd slowly begins to swell (and sing-a-long). You can view the performance below.
Smallpools have been touring heavily in 2013, and unless the hit the studio soon they will likely announce another string of shows in the near future. Follow OurStage on Twitter to ensure you never miss another headline, then comment below and let us know your thoughts on the performance.
