CONGRATS TO THE WORSTIES FROM OURSTAGE AND ERNIE BALL

There are a lot of silly prizes out there. A year’s supply of key chains? We’ll pass. Three hundred and sixty five days of Jello? We don’t wriggle that much. But 12 months worth of guitar strings? Sign us up! Luckily the nice folks over at Ernie Ball teamed up with OurStage to award one of our top-ranking artists with all the strings their musical fingers can carry.

Last year was a big one for The Worsties, what with recording their third EP Dude. Dude. Dude. Totally! and hitting the road to share the stage with a slew of hot artists including Candlebox, Cage the Elephant and Marcy Playground. Looks like 2010 will be no different.  The band is currently touring to support the Dude EP and will hit the recording studio again later this year. If that’s not enough to make your head spin, The Worsties also just announced that they’ll be opening for Big Boi and Saving Abel at this year’s Rhodes College Rites of Spring in Memphis, TN. Looks like this prize couldn’t have come at a better time!
