Metal Monday: A Hidden Gem, Faethm

Orlando-based band Faethm is one of the latest bands on the metal scene to burst free of the subgenre mold and take their sound to a progressive place all their own. With hints of prog rock, metal, southern rock and many other styles, Faethm is a must-hear band.

A rather young band, Faethm has been doing the “bar tours” in Florida for a while now. Still, they have experienced many bill woes, like being booked alongside bands almost completely unlike them. Now they’re taking a break from playing shows to do some solid writing for a new album to follow up their only release, 2009’s The Traveler EP.
